I like the traffic light control in Scotland. At most crossings all pedestrians get green light at the same time while all vehicles have to wait. This seems to me safer than I know it from Germany where turning drivers have to give way to pedestrians on a crosswalk. And it also seems to be more efficient because as a pedestrian you are allowed to cross the road diagonally. Why not establish this in Germany?
